District 6 Programs

  •   AVID AVID’s mission is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.  AVID is an academic elective class during the regular school day that prepares students to succeed in rigorous curriculum using the WICOR method — writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading.  AVID students learn how to ask higher level questions and how to think deeply.  AVID promotes a college-going culture in the classroom and throughout the school.  Click HERE to find out more about our AVID program.
